Coach Circosta

Coach Jay Circosta is a graduate of Shadyside High School. He received an AB in Secondary Education (P.E., Health, Speech, and Driver's Education) from West Liberty University and an M. S. Education in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Dayton.
He is presently in his 45th year of coaching. This is his 41st year as a head coach: 23 years with the Woodsfield Redskins and 18 years with the Monroe Central Seminoles.
He and his wife Donna Sue have two daughters, Jayne Lynne, and Susan Jaye. They have three grandchildren, Matison Jayne, Jaykob Matthew Vinskovich, and Major Jay Snively.
Coach Circosta is the second winningest football coach in OVAC and Ohio Valley history.
Early in the 2004 season, he broke the all time Ohio Valley record of 246 wins, held by the late George Strager. Coach Circosta's overall record is 300-120-5. His regular season record is 292-112-5.
The field house, football home of the Monroe Central Seminoles, is named the "Jay Circosta Field House." The road through Monroe Memorial Park has been named, "Jay Circosta Boulevard." Coach Cirscosta has coached four Ohio teams in the OVAC All Star Game, plus one BACF All Star Game. He has received ten Dapper Dan Awards, including "Man of the Year" in 2005.
The veteran coach of 41 years is a member of the West Liberty University and Ohio High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame.
